CopyPaste - Best Shareware Utility of 96 - Quick Overview
One of the early wonders of the Mac was its revolutionary ability to do copy and paste across various applications. Unlike other areas in the Mac's system and software that have changed and progressed over the years, copy and paste has not evolved. How many times have you found yourself going back and forth copying in one application and pasting in a different application, wishing to yourself that you could copy 5-10 items at a time, then go to another application and paste each of these items. Now you can.
Its simple and worth trying, drop the extension on the System Folder and restart.
CopyPaste now gives you ten clipboards instead of just one!
1. Check the Edit menu. Notice the 10 new submenus for copy, cut, and paste.
2. Highlight some text then type the usual keyboard command for copy or cut and then any number between 1 and 9 before releasing the command key.
3. Paste works in the same way as before but just add a number for a clip or several numbers (to paste several at once) before releasing the command key.
4. In the new submenu go to the last item Edit Clipboards. The Edit Window will open here you can experiment with the clipboard processing features. Try uppercasing whats in the clipboard. Close the window by typing w.
The Edit Window can be opened from the keyboard by command + c or x and click the mouse, keep the command key down to keep it the edit window open. More details on this in the accompanying documentation.
5. Command - tab will move you quickly from one open application to another.
CopyPaste is one extension that is very intuitive and very compatible. It fits so well you'll wonder why Apple didn't include it in their system software. This is just a taste. Try it out then read the documentation to learn the details of many other tricks this utility can perform.
